EFHS Spiritline
The purpose of the EFHS Spiritline program is to develop leadership, promote unity within the school and to generate school spirit and enthusiasm.
- The Spiritline members shall promote and uphold school spirit.
- They shall develop a sense of good sportsmanship among the students, peers, coaches, teachers, and community.
- They shall promote the crowd’s involvement during school activities.
- They shall strive to build relationships between the schools in the conference, our community, and student body.
- They shall strive to uphold the highest personal, as well as, cheerleading and dancing standards.
- EFHS Spiritline Members are student's first and will maintain passing grades in all of their courses!

Clinic Day Thursday Sept 26th, 2024. from 4:30-6pm in the cafeteria/Aux gym
Children (boys and girls) ages 3-13 years old will learn material and then have the opportunity to perform during halftime at the Varsity Home game on Friday September 27th, 2024.
Cost: $30

Coach Contreras
Varsity Pom Coach
Coach Contreras is the dance director and teacher at EFHS. She has been coaching and teaching since the 2007-2008 school year at EFHS. She is an Arizona native and grew up in the west valley attending Westview high school. She was a member of her high school's pom and dance teams. Coach Contreras has taught dance and coached for the past 22 years at various dance studios, elementary, and high schools. After graduating high school, she attended Arizona State University and finished her secondary education degree in Dance Education. Coach Contreras also served as a member of the AIA (Arizona Interscholastic Association) Spiritline rules committee for 8 years.
Coach Maier
Varsity Cheer Coach
Coach Maier is a former EFHS pommie, and has been on coaching staff at EFHS for 4 years! She coached and helped to start the YHS Pom program and previously worked for the before-and-after school care program for the Liberty District. Coach Maier has years of experience working with students and is excited to lead our Varsity Cheer Team at EFHS! Coach Maier is also a collegiate STUNT judge, and a former EFHS Pomline member.

Coach Lopez has coached throughout Arizona for over 30 years, and he is excited to be helping out the Wolf Pack!

Tryout Meeting on Wednesday, August 7th (1st day of school) at 2:30 pm in the Dance Room.

*Includes a new physical completed on AIA forms from after March 1st, 2024
*Concussion course and Opioid course completed once.
*New physical and forms completed every year.

2 Teacher Evaluation Forms-Click link below for form
Each student will need to have 2 teacher evaluation forms completed prior to tryouts on August 10th. Do NOT wait until the last moment to get these completed. We encourage everyone to contact teachers in May, rather than wait until the Summer or August. Teacher evaluation forms MUST be directly emailed from teachers to coaches or handed in directly from teachers at EFHS. Teacher evaluations should come from teachers from the 2023-2024 school year.
2024-2025 Tryout Information
Tryout Meeting (1st day of School)-Wednesday August 7th, 2024 at 2:30pm in the Dance Room.
Tryout Dates: Thursday, August 8th and Friday, August 9th, 2024
August 8th (245pm-445 pm) and
August 9th (245pm -approx. 6 pm), 2024
EFHS Cafeteria/Aux gymClinic day and tryout day: Please wear black bottoms and a solid white tee. No EFHS clothing may be worn. Athletic shoes and hair pulled back in a pony. No jewelry. No nails-acrylic or natural nails past the fingertips.
